This is where our hands-on hardware reviews live. Every product we review is set up and used on a live Home Assistant installation — we pair it, run it in day-to-day automations, and push on the edges before we form a verdict.

We weight local control, integration quality, and reliability more heavily than a general-audience review would, because that is what self-hosted smart-home readers care about. See [how we test](https://homeoslab.com/editorial-policy/) and our [affiliate disclosure](https://homeoslab.com/affiliate-disclosure/).
